All people looking for training should dig into the company they are working with. And if you do this with Training Camp, you will find that the class is run as an authorized class that will count toward your VCP, effectively negating the idea that there is anything fraudulent on their part. The classes include authorized courseware, certified instructors, and registration of the course in the My Learn portal where your transcript will reflect your attendance. The additional cost of the class above what you may pay for attending a public class is reflective of the fact that your travel accommodations are included and you receive an exam voucher should you choose. As for "you will get certified", well clearly there is no guarantee b/c there is no way to guarantee human learning. As with any "boot camp" style course there is a certain student demographic that it best fits. If you are new to VMware and have never worked with it then the "boot camp" method of certification is certainly not a suitable option. This isn't to say you can't attend a Training Camp class, b/c they are delivering the same Install, Configure, Manage course that any other authorized training center would provide. But if you are a long time IT professional with hard earned skills and experience who needs the structure and time away from life's distractions then a boot camp would do you well. No one should rely on blog posts as the sole basis for making decisions. Do your research and find the training organization and learning program that best suits your learning style and skill level. But rest assured that if you choose Training Camp to help you achieve your desire for VCP it will most certainly be a valid achievement.
